201015-M-ZN327-1057 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 15, 2020) – U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) steam through the eastern Pacific Ocean. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
