Crane Army Ammunition Activity Commander Col. Stephen Dondero briefs Joint Munitions Command Commander Col. Gavin Gardner on how Crane Army continues to modernize its processes to boost resource efficiency and limit environmental impact during a tour of a new plating shop on October 15, 2020. CAAA’s improved plating facility will include runoff shields which will collect water used in the plating process of metal components of munitions and keep it contained before it is processed at Crane Army’s water treatment location. CAAA is one of 17 installations of the JMC and one of 23 organic industrial bases under the U.S. Army Materiel Command, which include arsenals, depots, activities and ammunition plants.
