The spur ride is a cavalry tradition in which a trooper must pass a series of tests that evaluate physical, leadership, technical and tactical proficiency in a high stress environment in order to earn his spurs and become a member of the Order of the Spur. Task Force Raptor is deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
