                            201018-M-UV498-1556 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 18, 2020) – U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Zachary Taylor, center-left, a surgeon assigned to Fleet Surgical Team 1, embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), teaches surgical procedures required for a simulated patient during a mass casualty training event. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
