During a tour of the Aerospace Medical Service Apprentice program at the Medical Education and Training Campus Oct. 20, the Honorable Thomas McCaffery, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, takes a moment to speak with some students as they wait to take an exam. McCaffery met with METC leadership and toured programs to learn how the schoolhouse trains and prepares the future enlisted medical force as part of a multi-day visit to Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, Oct. 19-21.
