U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to Task Force Ellis, I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) and amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45), transport a simulated casualty during a tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) course aboard USS Comstock (LSD 45), Oct. 20, 2020. The purpose of learning and employing TCCC tactics is to reduce the risk of further injury or death while in combat by combining good medicine and good tactics. Task Force Ellis, comprised of Marines and Sailors from I MEF, deployed aboard the USS Comstock (LSD 45) to the Indo-Pacific to conduct theater security cooperation activities from July to November 2020.
