Michigan National Guard Soldiers with Michigan’s Task Force Spartan partnered with the Washtenaw County Health Department, performing no-cost nasopharyngeal swab COVID tests for residents to ensure safety of vulnerable populations, Whitmore, Mich., Oct. 17, 2020. The National Guard provided technical experts and medically trained personnel to assist the Washtenaw County Health Department. This event is of one of six testing events the health department and Michigan National Guard’s TF teamed up together, conducting hundreds of free tests. The Michigan National Guard remains ready to support the counties, state and local agencies, and first responders with requested resources for as long as needed in support of COVID-19 response efforts in the state.
