U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (3rd MLG), exit a C-130 aboard Naval Air Facility Astugi, Japan, en route to a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) at Combined Arms Training Center, Camp Fuji, Japan, Oct. 16, 2020. MCCREs are conducted to ensure unit standardization and combat readiness in preparation for operational deployments. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
