U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Romeo Walker, left, the 673d Force Support Squadron unit deployment manager, and U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Megan Rodgers, the Iditarod Dining Facility production manager, set up a single-pallet expeditionary kitchen in a simulated remote location as part of exercise Polar Force 21-1 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Oct. 15, 2020. Polar Force is a biannual two-week mission readiness exercise designed to test multiple elements of the Agile Combat Employment concept of operations. The exercise allows Soldiers and Airmen from units across JBER to develop and strengthen the skills required in austere environments and adverse situations. This iteration was adapted to follow COVID-19 health and safety measures.
