FORT CARSON, Colo. — Fort Carson firefighters work to contain the Wild Horse Fire as wind gusts amplify the wildfire Oct. 12, 2020. causing it to spread. The fire began off post and jumped on post burning about 670 acres in areas the Army uses for training. Bulldozers supplied by the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, constructed firebreaks that limited the spread of the wildfire, and UH-60 Black Hawk crews, provided by the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, used Bambi buckets to douse problem areas.
