USACE Local Government Liaisons are in Lake Charles, La., assisting with the combined federal, state and local Hurricanes Laura and Delta response. As part of her outreach to local communities affected by the storms, LGL Angela Zephier, Wilmington District, will be handing out informational flyers with details about the Blue Roof program. After Hurricane Delta hit the area, FEMA extended the sign up date for the USACE-managed program. Eligible residents have until Oct. 24 to sign up for a free temporary roof. Angela is pictured in the pod she will reside in at the FEMA responder base camp. Lodging is provided at the camp so responders are close to the affected area and to ensure commercial lodging is available for residents displaced by the storms. Photo by Angela Zephier
