A group of Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 8, 2nd Marine Logistics Group care for a simulated casualty after their truck hit a simulated improvised explosive device during a field training exercise aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 1, 2012. The troops experienced multiple situations such as simulated firefights, explosions and casualty evacuations, which added realism to their pre-deployment training. The battalion’s week-long field exercise was designed to prepare the troops for their upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.
