SILVERDALE, Wash. (Oct. 1, 2020) – Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB) Commanding Officer, Capt. Robert Figgs and Cmdr. Michael Palmer, TRFB Production Management Assistant (PMA), recite the Oath of Office during a promotion ceremony at TRFB on Oct. 1. The PMA is responsible for the coordination, integration and completion of all production work including specific Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) maintenance, as well as General Support Services provided on Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBNs) in refit at TRFB. In addition, the PMA manages the repair, overhaul, and alteration of Trident Planned Equipment Replacement (TRIPER) items for which TRFB has been designated as the overhaul activity. TRFB was established in the Pacific Northwest on July 1, 1981 as the primary maintenance facility for the West Coast SSBN fleet.
