Col. Trent Upton, commander, and Command Sgt. Major Jonathan Reffeor, senior enlisted leader, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, case the colors of the 1st ABCT during the unit’s color casing ceremony at Cottrell Field in Fort Stewart, Georgia, Oct. 1, 2020. The 1st ABCT will replace the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, as part of a regular rotation of forces to support the United States’ commitment to Southeast Asia partners and allies. The Raider Brigade has a storied history including four deployments to Iraq and most recently a rotation to Korea in 2018 as the Regionally Aligned Force to the U.S. Pacific Command.
