Texas Army National Gaurd 100th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment Sgt. 1st Class Melisa Washington attends the opening of a new playground Sept. 18, 2020, at a school in Lebane, Kosovo. Washington, a member of the Kosovo Force Regional Command East’s public affairs office, was accompanied by KFOR’s civil-military cooperation personnel who are responsible for promoting positive relationships between Kosovo communities and KFOR. Constructing new playgrounds is one of many ways in which KFOR ensures a safe and secure environment for all the people in Kosovo. KFOR is charged with ensuring the freedom of movement for all the people in Kosovo in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Spc.
