Drone operators from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Miss., deployed forward to southwest Louisiana mid-Sept. 2020 in support of Operation Blue Roof for Hurricane Laura response. Here, they used a drone in Vinton, La., to help our quality assurance specialists perform final inspections, verifing the fiber reinforced sheeting was installed per contract specifications. Drones are also used to help our staff assess homes to determine eligibility for the program.
