200924-A-RX269-1050 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 24, 2020) – A Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet multi-role fighter jet, attached to the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group with embarked Carrier Air Wing 17, conducts flight operations during the joint air operations in support of maritime surface warfare (AOMSW) exercise in the Arabian Gulf, Sept. 24. Combined integration operations between joint U.S. forces are regularly held to maintain interoperability and the capability to counter threats posed in the maritime domain, ensuring freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce throughout the region's heavily trafficked waterways.
