Lance Cpl. Nathan Glenn, a bulk fuel specialist with Bulk Fuel Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), loads gear onto U.S. Army Vessel Harpers Ferry (LCU-2022) with 10th Support Group during a logistics exercise on Kin Red, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 23, 2020. During the exercise, Combat Logistics Regiment 3 and 9th ESB conducted Okinawa-based logistics training to hone critical capabilities and practice dispersed command and control while providing support to III Marine Expeditionary Force units throughout Okinawa. Glenn, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 2017 and enlisted out of Recruiting Station Des Moines in 2018. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
