    U.S. Marines with Engineer Support Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), move and organize gear for loading onto a Landing Craft Utility vessel during a logistics exercise on Kin Red, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 23, 2020. During the exercise, Combat Logistics Regiment 3 and 9th ESB conducted Okinawa-based logistics training to hone critical capabilities and practice dispersed command and control while supporting III Marine Expeditionary Force units throughout Okinawa. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
