San Jose, Calif., native Sgt. 1st Class Robert Martinez, a platoon sergeant for Company D, 3rd "Spearhead" Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, keeps the beat while playing drums for a Soldier band during "Open Mic Night" at the Mud House coffee shop at Camp Taji, Iraq, Oct. 19. Although Martinez was there with one band, he stayed on stage and helped other musicians throughout the night.
