A simulated casualty is prepared for extraction by a member of the 178th Civil Engineering Squadron Search and Rescue Team as part of a training exercise August 2, 2020 near the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Butlerville, Indiana. For this scenario, the casualty was trapped in the rocks near the bottom of the falls, and a rescuer was lowered from above. Once contact was made with the simulated casualty, an improvised harness was created to facilitate extraction and safely transport the victim out of danger.
