William Degenhardt of 2nd Platoon, Troop C, 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Task Force Iron, from Fort Lewis, Wash., performs a rifle breach of locked gate to a palm grove on the outskirts of Hussein Hamadi village, Diyala province, Iraq, Oct. 30, during Operation Ultra Magnus. Al -Qaida in Iraq operatives were using the palm grove to hide weapons and as a bed-down location.
