PHILIPPINE SEA (Sep. 3, 2020) Sgt. Luis Leoni, a criminal investigator with 3d Law Enforcement (LE) Detachment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), demonstrates a technique for developing latent fingerprints aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The technique demonstrated developed a fingerprint utilizing fluorescent powder and a blue alternative light source. America, flagship of America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
