The theme of SOUTHDEC 2012, the fourth annual occurrence of this conference, is “Military Transformation to Meet Evolving Threats.” During the Conference held in Bogota, Colombia from July 24 - 26, 2012, senior military and civilian leaders from 11 nations were able to actively participate in executive-level, face-to-face discussions concerning regional threats and transformation efforts to address current and future concerns in a collaborative manner.
