Dominican army Col. (Dr.) Arturo Aquino Espinal, chief of Ophthalmology at the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces in Santo Domingo conducts eye surgery on a patient July 25. Dominican physicians, including medical interns and medical residents, worked side by side with U.S. military doctors and ophthalmologists as part of a U.S. Army Medical Command and U.S. Army South-planned medical readiness and training exercise July 10-27.
