Citizen soldiers of the Texas National Guard attached to the C Company, 2nd Battallion, 149th Aviation Brigade, provide aviation support to members of Texas A&M Task Force One, as part of a whole-of-government effort to assist Texans in the response to Hurricane Laura. The Texas Guard maintains mission ready packages comprised of preselected personnel who have experience in working alongside local partners to make sure the services and resources communities require are quickly moved into place.
