Two Dominican physicians and third year medical residents working with the U.S. Army Medical Command and U.S. Army South-planned medical readiness and training exercise prepares a Dominican child for eye surgery July 23. The MEDRETE is led by a medical team mainly from Madigan Health Care System, at Fort Lewis, Wash. July 10-27 at the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The medical team comprised of Dominican and U.S. personnel conducted more than 350 eye surgeries on adults and children.
