Noah Hoffman, a team leader with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division uses a compass to plot an azimuth in order to set up a training mine field to test counter mind capabilities during the Technology Concept Experiment 20.3 at Red Beach, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 25, 2020. The experiment focuses on enabling Naval Forces the freedom of maneuver necessary to accomplish mission objectives with an emphasis on autonomous and unmanned systems that remove the warfighter from the hazardous environment.
