SAN ANTONIO - (Aug. 25, 2020) Senior Chief Navy Counselor Jesse Eldridge, of Naugatuck, Conn., the special programs leading chief petty officer assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio, has qualified to become one of the latest assistant chief recruiters (ACR) within Navy Recruiting Command. The ACR is considered to be a subject matter expert in all fields of Navy recruiting. Their role is to support their respective chief recruiters of their specific Navy Recruiting District (NRD) or Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG). The requirements for becoming an ACR necessitate a senior Sailor to be well versed in the world of recruiting, and the qualifying process ensures that these leaders are ready to support those goals. Eldridge, a 1994 graduate of Emmett O’Brien Regional Vocational Technical School, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999 becoming a recruiter in 2013. NRD San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory. Navy Recruiting Command consists of a command headquarters, two Navy Recruiting Regions, 10 Navy Recruiting Districts and 16 Navy Talent Acquisition Groups that serve more than 815 recruiting stations across the world.
