Pfc. Manuel Lomeli, Platoon 3234, Company K, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, decided to enlist in the Marine Corps to make his family proud as well as set a good example for his younger brother and sister. Lomeli is currently undergoing the Crucible aboard Edson Range, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., and is scheduled to graduate July 27.
