The FARP mission is to hot refuel, refueling while the aircrafts' engines are operating, from a transport aircraft (C-17 Globemaster III) to a receiver aircraft, under the cover of darkness, in an austere environment. Klukas is the principal adviser to the combatant commander for all matters concerning joint force integration, career development, utilization and sustainment of more than 150,000 enlisted personnel serving the headquarters the USTRANSCOM's air, land and sea components throughout the world.
