JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 12, 2020) – Capt. Heather Gnau, an endodontist at Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville, cares for a sailor. Gnau, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, holds a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Louisville. “It’s rewarding to care for the warfighter, addressing dental pain and infection, in order to ensure they’re ready to complete the mission. I also enjoy mentoring junior officers, sharing my knowledge of endodontics and the Navy, so they have the skills to be successful at their next command.” The Navy Dental Corps celebrates its 108th birthday on Aug. 22, continuing its tradition of contributing to combat and humanitarian missions around the world.
