U.S. Marine officers and staff non-commissioned officers with Marine Rotational Force-Europe 20.2, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, hike to historical locations during a professional military education the Second World War, in Narvik, Norway, August 3, 2020. The trip gave Marines the opportunity to learn more about the history in the area they are currently deployed to in Norway. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain-warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners.
