U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jesse Hoffberger, a Force Reconnaissance Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's (MEU) Maritime Raid Force, conducts a military free fall at Ie Shima Training Facility, Okinawa, Japan, July 30, 2020. Marines with the 31st MEU and 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG) conduct military free falls to maintain their annual qualifications required for parachuting. Hoffberger, a native of Stevenson, Washington, is a reconnaissance Marine with the 31st MEU's Maritime Raid Force. 3rd MLG provides III Marine Expeditionary Force comprehensive logistics and combat service support for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
