North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command named Master Sergeant Craig Belcher as the commands' 2019 Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. Sergeant Belcher is the Evaluator Search and Rescue Controller and the Commander’s Senior Enlisted Manager. Sergeant Belcher is from Fort Worth, Texas. NORAD and USNORTHCOM announced its 2019 annual award winners in a virtual presentation at the Command headquarters building August 6. General Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, NORAD and USNORTHCOM Commander praised the award winners and all Command personnel for ensuring that the missions and critical homeland defense operations continued uninterrupted despite the COVID pandemic. “This year has been incredibly challenging. Together we have faced multiple missions and the adversity of a global pandemic,” said O’Shaughnessy. “Throughout the past year, each of our nominees performed above and beyond. They represent the best of our commands.”
