PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- 5-year-old Wilder Umbarger and his dad, Jeremy, receive a 731st Airlift Squadron patch with Wilder’s name on it from Lt. Col. Ryan Brader, 731 AS commander, July 30, 2020. After seeing the Blue Angels perform in Michigan, Wilder fell in love with airplanes and wanted to see a real plane and meet a pilot. As Wilder struggles with a terminal illness, X-Linked Adrenoleukodystrophy, his wish was granted through the Make-a-Wish Foundation, who brought Wilder and his family to Peterson AFB to tour a C-130 Hercules.
