SAN DIEGO (July 20, 2020) Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, Russell Smith, speaks with Navy Marine Corps Relief Society San Diego Deputy Director, Rosa Wilson, about assistance and relief efforts NMCRS is providing to USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) Sailors. On the morning of July 12, a fire was called away aboard the ship while it was moored pier side at Naval Base San Diego. Base and shipboard firefighters responded to the fire.
