Alaska Air National Guard Lt. Col. Patrick McBride and Alaska Air National Guard Capt. Ben Van Alstine, both HC-130J Combat King II pilots assigned to the 211th Rescue Squadron, Alaska Air National Guard, land an HC-130J in Homer, Alaska, June 25, 2020. The HC-130J landed in Homer after conducting water drop training. The drop was conducted to maintain qualifications for the Guard’s pararescuemen and loadmasters. The 212th and 211th rescue squadrons continuously train to maintain operational readiness for civil search and rescue missions as well as contingency operations.
