Led by Sgt. Jolanda Howard of the 108th Training Command out of Charlotte, N.C., military and non-military children staying at the YMCA Camp Hanes in King, N.C., do some physical fitness training during Military Day activities, July 11. The week-long camp included the Military Day where children were exposed to different aspects of military life such as, Army heater meals, camouflage face paint, physical training and a static vehicle display. The children also wrote supportive letters to veterans and drew pictures that will become parts of a larger mural as a part of Project S.N.A.P. and the Operation Grateful Nation Mosaic Mural project.
