Air Force Staff Sgt. Annette O'Brien, a C-130 engine mechanic with the Air National Guard's 147th Airlift Wing, works with a team of Army and Air National Guardsmen to provide COVID-19 testing to Texans in Taylor, Texas, July 9, 2020.
As a civilian, Staff Sgt. O'Brien works on T-6 airplanes at Sheppard Air Force Base. She is one of two women in a shop of 20 men in her position, and says she loves the work because it comes easy to her.
"I'm used to working with my hands, and troubleshooting just comes naturally to me," said O'Brien.
O'Brien is also a mother to four daughters. Her message to girls is: "You can do anything you set your mind to."
