(Ret) Keith Huber, Senior Veteran Advisor at Middle Tennessee State University, stand at a ceremony honoring country singer Charlie Daniels. Daniels received military honors from Tennessee National Guard at a ceremony July 8, in his hometown of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., two days after his passing, at the age of 83. UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters performed a flyover, guardsmen conducted a 21-gun salute, and Daniels' wife, Hazel, and son, Charlie Jr., received American flags during the ceremony commemorating Daniels and his decades of support towards the military, which included countless donations and USO tours visiting troops throughout the middle-east.
