Worley received the medal for actions while 1st squad leader Combined Anti-Armor Team 1, Weapons Company 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, Regimental Combat team 7, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, on 12 July 2010 in support of operation Enduring Freedom.
