The D.C. National Guard takes pride supporting the celebration of our nation’s 244th Independence Day. On July 4 members supported local and federal authorities by providing increased security and managing the flow of traffic and pedestrians along the National Mall and at various metro stations. Weekend duties also included support of "A Salute to America" and other activities. Additionally, the D.C. National Guard remains committed to support domestic operations providing mission-ready Soldiers and Airmen.
