A recruit of Company B, 1st Recruit Training Battalion strikes a padded bag with a roundhouse kick during the Combat Conditioning Exercise aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 27. Recruits performed 10 exercises with 10 transitional exercises in between during the CCX. The course incorporates Marine Corps Martial Arts techniques and is designed to test recruits mentally and physically.
