Senior Airman Cody Vogler, from the 124th Fighter Wing, received a coin on June 19, 2020, from the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, Gen. David L. Goldfein, for his exemplary work ensuring the communications focal point was a success and continues to be a success during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gen. Goldfein visited Mountain Home Air Force Base, Gowen Field’s 124th Fighter Wing and toured the vast training space of the Idaho Army National Guard’s Orchard Combat Training Center, while flying in the UH-60 Black Hawk. The purpose of his visit to Idaho was to gain an overview of Idaho forces' COVID-19 response and recovery, and to learn about Idaho's joint mission capabilities.
