    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

Navy Religious Program Specialist 2nd Class Jason Meabrod stands in front of the Marine Expeditionary Unit building during the 122nd birthday of the Hospital Corps on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, June 17, 2020. The Hospital Corps birthday was established in 1898; it is a long standing tradition that celebrates corpsmen and their enduring relationship with Marines throughout history. Jason said, "We really wanted to make sure we were conveying that, with the birthday happening today, the information given out showed how substantial of an impact the Hospital Corps has had on the Navy. We take a lot of pride in our rates and in keeping the heritage and the tradition alive." The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
