An F/A-18 Hornet attached to the "Warhawks" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 97 conducts a "touch and go" landing and takeoff aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) during an air demonstration for a "Friends and Family Day Cruise" Oct. 6. Friends and family of Sailors stationed aboard the Lincoln joined their Sailors for the ship's afternoon transit from Victoria, British Columbia to its homeport of Everett. Lincoln returned to Everett following 19 days away conducting Fleet Replacement Squadron Carrier Qualifications (FRS CQ), participating in San Diego's Sea and Air Parade, and a three-day port visit to Victoria.
