CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti June 7, 2020 - From left, U.S. Army Gen. Stephen J. Townsend, commander, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), meets with U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Lapthe C. Flora, incoming commanding general (CG) for Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), center, and U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Michael D. Turello, outgoing CG for CJTF-HOA, upon his arrival at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ), June 7, 2020 Townsend visited CLDJ to officiate the June 8, CJTF-HOA change of command ceremony, transferring authority from Turello to Flora. During the visit, Townsend also met with several senior Djiboutian government officials, including holding his first meeting with Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
