U.S. Air Force airmen from the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron, scrub down a simulated contaminated fire fighter during a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear exercise July 12, 2012, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. CBRNE operations detect, identify, assess, render-safe, dismantle, transfer, and dispose of unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices and other CBRNE hazards. These operations also include decontaminating personnel and property exposed to CBRN materials during response.
