Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 119th Field Artillery Regiment, Michigan Army National Guard, stage, train, and prepare to assist local authorities during a scheduled protest later today, Kalamazoo, Michigan, June 2, 2020. The Michigan Guard will assist authorities in order to ensure the safety of people and mitigate property damage. As a premier, community-based force compromised of resilient, adaptable, relevant, and ready Citizen Guard members, the Michigan Guard provides response to requests for assistance from civil authorities, domestic emergencies, law enforcement support, and other domestic activities.
